Jumia (NYSE:JMIA) shares are up 6.2% after a positive tweet from short-seller Citron Research.
Tweet: "Citron being asked if we would short (Jumia's) recent run-up. NO WAY. We learned lesson shorting e commerce. Bad risk/reward. Pandemic has changed e-com globally."
The firm says the worst appears to be behind Jumia and that a full report will be released next week.
In May 2019, Citron said the value for Jumia's common stock was zero and that it was "time for the SEC to protect U.S. investors."
